GenePattern @ Indiana University
The GenePattern team, in collaboration with Indiana University’s (IU) National Center for Genome Analysis Support (NCGAS), hosts a public GenePattern server on IU’s high performance Mason computing system. The increased server capacity better accommodates next generation sequencing analysis and other compute intensive analyses.
The GenePattern-IU server is available at http://gp.indiana.edu.

This resource is freely available for academic and non-profit users.
- You will need to register for an account, as accounts on different servers are independent from each other.
- If you have an account on another GenePattern server, please click here for details on how to share your data between GenePattern server accounts.
- Differences between GenePattern @ IU and the Broad Institute-hosted GenePattern server:
- There is currently no quota on the IU server, with regard to the number jobs you may submit or the amount of data you may upload.
- Your job results will be kept on the server for 30 days, as compared with 7 days on the Broad server.
- The server is unavailable on the first Tuesday of every month for planned maintenance. We will communicate any planned downtime as far in advance as possible.
